What a sweet and valid question.
On
the one hand feminism is very simple and
it's more a sense of justice that you carry
around with you and just incorporate it
into your every day. But it's also about
going beyond the ordinary, for instance,
not just staying frustrated or angry or
complacent, but realize that it's within
your power to change things.
There are
of course other more tangible ways to become
engaged in feminism, such as starting a
book group, going to events, or working
for or volunteering with organizations
that have a feminist mission. I see that
you are in the UK and I don't know much
about what groups exist there...but try
this link for suggestions: www.thefword.org.uk
Good luck getting connected and just
the fact that you are raising this question
makes you a feminist.
