Greetings,
I am
starting an all girls' center in the town I live.
I am hoping to open my doors on August 1st. However,
I need some 'filler' activities and skits - anything
fun, friendly, and feminist. Any ideas?
Thank
You,
DJ

Dear
DJ,
Thanks
for your note to feminist.com and for your work
to start a girls' center. There are national girls'
programs, like
Girls, Inc. and Girls Speak-Out, which host
programs nationally, so they might have ideas
for you. Also, there is a great group in New York
City called Lower Eastside Girls Club which hosts
lots of things for girls.
Check
out a great book by Catherine Dee, A Girls
Guide to Everyday Life which lists lots of
activities. You can read
an excerpt here at feminist.com.
I
hope these suggestions lead you to some interesting
ideas.
Good
luck.
Amy
