My wife has fibrocystic disease. Her doctor told her that it is harmless but we want to know more. Do you have any info on this disease or can you direct us to a Web site or other source that does? Please reply. Thanks.

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM. From what I can gather from various women's health books--fibrocystic breast disease is harmless. It's basically lumpy breasts that are tender. Perhaps you want to see Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book or Our Bodies, Ourselves for your own reassurance, but I think your doctor is accurate. You might also try our Women's Health links.
