Dear M.C.,
I don't really have one overriding opinion. In general, I have seen women who are willing wear "burkas and overhead Abayas & Niqabs" and I have seen others who feel it's not a choice, so I guess my investment is to make sure that those who don't feel empowered to reject it can.
In terms of the "Islamic clitorectomys", I'm not sure how this differs from all other forms of genital mutilation, but Equality Now is linked with many groups which are working to prevent it, especially when it is forced.
Good luck,
--
Amy
