My name is Evrim. I am from Turkey. I am a socialist woman. I am also a member of the Party of Socialist Democracy in Turkey. We have a journal, which is published on twice a month. Three of the women in our party, myself and my two friends, have prepared a middle page for 8 March. The main themes are militarism, poverty, and violence.

Now the fundamental theme of the world and our country is war (USA's attack against Iraq). For this reason, I want to write something about the ideas of feminism on war. What is the idea of feminsts about the war? And how can I reach some resources about this theme.

There are several feminists and feminist organizations involved in peace activism. For instance, the Not In Our Name Statement, was generated mostly by feminists, like those affiliated with Refuse and Resist. There is also the Women's League for Peace and Freedom and also newer formed coalitions, like New Yorkers Say No to War.
