Hi! I'm a student/feminist in a Bachelor of Fine Arts acting program. I love the craft of acting, but have become increasingly frustrated in the "business" and the depiction of women in the media and the theatre, as well as the limits that this business puts on women. What are some feminist theatre organizations? Is there a network of feminist/artists out there that I could contact? Thanks! Heather

I'm not sure where you live and therefore if any of these suggestions will be helpful. But, there a couple of great feminist theatres in New York City: Three Legged Dog, New Georges, Women's Projects and Productions, also the Wooster Group is feminist influence. If you are not in New York, perhaps one of these groups would know of one in your area. So let me know and I'll see if I can find anything near you. Thanks.
