I'm in a newsgroup for Domestic Violence victims that has been infiltrated by men claiming it's a conspiracy. Do you have any information/statistics on false sexual assault allegations? Thanks! Kimberlee

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM. Of course, there is false reporting of sexual assualts. However, these are few and far between and not enough to undermine the movement against sexual assault. It's similiar to the fact that some professional athletes are abusive--which is very different from saying that all athletes are abusive. It's a problem and we have to take the real and seemingly or truely false claims seriously because sexual assaults is still an epidemic and there are still few gaps in remedying it. To learn more specifics, I suggest you contact the Family Violence Prevention Fund (1-800-END-ABUSE). I hope that helps -- and I hope that you able to get the infiltrators out.
