I am trying to get info and resources for my project due in the summer. The topic is violence against women and their bodies in the countries/continents of: U.S. and the Islands (women of color), Asia, Afica, Mexico, Central and South America, and India.

I have a great resource for you - the Women's Rights Network (E-mail), which is a global network of activists around domestic violence. Also, I suggest you contact UNDP (part of the United Nations), which has recently launched an excellent project in Latin America on ending domestic violence.
