Just about two weeks ago President
Clinton proposed spending $27
millon on trying to close the
wage gap. This plan would commit
$10 million to the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission to train
inspectors and educate employers
on the equal pay laws. It would
commit an additional $17 million
to the Department of Labor for
programs to train women in jobs
where they have been underrepresented
such as high tech.
