I am a 24 year old trying to figure out what to do with my life, I am considering getting a Master's in Women's Studies, but don't know if this degree will prepare me to do anything professionally, I am also interested in psychology and wonder if I go on to apply to PhD in Psych programs if an MA in Women's Studies will appear useless? Do you know of anywhere I can find info on the web about what Master's in Women's Studies graduates have gone on to do? Help!

I'm afraid I don't know anyone who has a Masters in Women's Studies. Although I did just meet a great woman from the University of Washington (I think) who was getting her PhD in Women's Studies. I forgot to ask..."what next?" I guess I assumed teaching Women's Studies. There is an organization called the National Women's Studies Assocation, which is a network of women's studies departments. I bet a call/query to them would provide you with some of the information you are looking for.

As an aside......not that you asked, but my advice would be to find a job in women's studies (working for a woman focused organization) and maybe a place like the Elizabeth Stone House in Boston, Ma, which works with women and psychology. And make a decision after you have this first hand experience. Just a thought.
