If
my memory serves me correctly--women
make .72$ for every 1.$ earned
by men. Of course, this statistic
is an average and it does change
dramatically when you start
looking at race and education,
etc... To confirm my assumption
and to explore all of the more
specific stats, I just you contact
the Bureau
of Labor Statistics in Washington,
DC. You can also find this information
in a book entitled: The American
Woman: An Almanac, which
is published every year or two
(we have it at the Feminist.com
Bookstore) -- and you may
be able to find it at the National
Committee on Pay Equity,
which is located here at Feminist.com.
