• How many women directors are at present in the Cinema business (& and in compare to the total of directors)?
• Who is the biggest corporation that have the biggest number of successful women in this area?
• Could you provide some names of the most talented at present?

I actually just read an article (in Equity Magazine) on the female head of Universal Pictures - she is one of three women to head a major movie studio. But that's obviously only one area of women in the movie business. To learn other statistics, I suggest you contact some of the following organizations as this is their area of expertise:

• New York Women in Film & Television
• New York Women in Communication
• Women Make Movies.
• Women in the Director's Chair

All of these organizations should have a website, but if you have trouble locating them, let me know and I can put you in contact with them. As for general statistics on women in corporations (i.e. beyond the music industry), you should contact Catalyst, an organization that does just that - counts the number of women directors and executives in major corporations. They also encourage greater female representation in leadership positions in those workplaces. I hope that helps - good luck.
