I am finishing a Master's degree and I am interested in finding work in a women's NGO. Are there any websites or other resources which post job openings in this field? Thank You, Cecilia

Thanks for your note to FEMINIST.COM. For jobs at a women's NGO, I suggest a few things:

  1. the Classified section at FEMINIST.COM
  2. Look at the NGO's listed at FEMINIST.COM and perhaps contact them directly about Job listings within their organizations and related organizations.
  3. If you have a "Foundation Center" they post job listings. There is one in New York City, one in San Francisco and several scattered across the country--maybe Denver?
  4. Find a women's NGO in your area and start from there. In many instances, these types of job listings get circulated from one organization to another, so if you get access to one group (or maybe a friend works at one) you are likely to get in contact with many job listings.
  5. Third Wave is looking for a co- director and will have their job description circulating soon.
If you are interested, you could send me your mailing address and I'll make sure you get this job description.
