Tree Beginnings was incorporated in 1992. As a woman business owner I was anxious to spread the word and encourage brides and grooms to consider tree and flower favors as an alternative to more traditional guest gifts.
Tree Beginnings operates out of an old farmhouse in NY's beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State. We offer quality tree seedlings, tree, flower and herb seed personalized for special occasion guest gifts. Since 1992 we continue to encourage brides and grooms to choose natural wedding favors , a caring way to help the environment and encourage a greener tomorrow.
When my husband and I were married we wanted to give our guests something special to help remember our special day. Since he owned and operated Sheffield’s Seed Company Since 1979, specializing in tree seed, tree seedlings were an “natural” choice for our favors. The guests loved the small tree favors so much we decided to start a wedding favor business and Tree Beginnings was conceived.
Tree Beginnings was incorporated in 1992. As a new woman business owner I was anxious to spread the word and encourage brides and grooms to consider tree and flower favors as an alternative to more traditional guest gifts. I had no experience in this area but really believed these original gifts could help the environment. We developed a seed packet format with blue spruce tree seed and as they say, the rest is history.
In 1998 we starting using the phrase ”Plant a Memory” to send our “green favor” message as a unique and thoughtful way to thank wedding guests for sharing their special day.
After 16 years, we welcome you to our selection of earth-friendly party favors. We are hounoured to be part of the thousands of weddings and are happy to be a part of hundreds of Baby Showers, Christenings, Anniversaries, First Communions, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Office Parties, Special Functions, Luncheons, Retirement parties and Memorials. We applaud all of our customers 1992 – 2007 for helping making this world a better place for us and our future generations.
