The State of Feminism

[We need to] make sure that we're all in spaces that we all understand and open our hearts to everyone who's in the room. And that includes the 0.2% of the world, which are Jewish people. All of us need to gather together and use all of our resources as strongly as possible. One thing that I remember bringing all women together was reproductive rights. That is one of the first things that the patriarchy really tried to put a wedge in there, and they achieved it. They achieved it through religion and through separation and through condemnation. And I think if we were able to come back together with reproductive rights, I think it would be a very strong thing. I agree with the Equal Rights Amendment, but I think really that's the one issue that brought everybody together in D.C.— hundreds of thousands of people, and especially women. I think there's something there.
