Cory Verellen
”There is a way of interacting with ourselves which is the catalyst to our connection with the world that is immediate, relevant and serendipitous; I bring a camera.”

Cory Verellen is a Seattle, WA based photographer and artist. Themes can be recognized throughout Cory Verellen’s body of work that suggest that our connection to the inner space is everywhere around us. He is not a street photographer, nor a studio artist with the sets and visions of finished photographs. Like the quote above alludes to, connecting with the outer world through the relationship to the inner world provides him a window for photography. Cory believes that we are all artists, and the true medium is ourselves. The Polaroid camera has a special place in his heart. Cory also runs a small enterprise building and restoring these elegant antiques (LandCameras.com).

Sonya Shoptaugh
