As we commemorate our 30-year anniversary in 2025, Feminist.com has been hard at work strategically planning the evolution of the organization. We wanted to give you a preview and invite you to invest in our vision forward by making a donation.
We’ve come a long way since Feminist.com launched in 1995, when all webpages were grey, Netscape was the only browser, and few people knew what the Internet was or had a home computer. At a time when 85 percent of internet users were men, Feminist.com was a first-of-its-kind central hub for leading feminist thought leaders—like Women’s Media Center, MomsRising, Nobel Women’s Initiative—and the first official web home for leading women’s organizations, including Ms. Foundation, V-Day, Girls Inc., and Equality Now. It was a digital destination for networking, discovering new resources, and amplifying unheard voices in the feminist movement.
Today, feminist gains are being rolled back. With no shared set of facts and fragmented organizing efforts, it’s only gotten harder to mobilize for positive change. The United States’ information architecture is in shambles—journalism has been gutted and that includes the feminist media landscape. So many publications have disappeared and in their stead, disinformation spreads. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Feminist.com has acted as a connective tissue, uplifting and connecting other organizations, platforms, and voices for 30 years. But we need resources to continue to fulfill that mission during this challenging time.
We have big plans to mark our 30-year anniversary by revamping our website and providing more premium original content, multimedia feeds, special initiatives and online and in-person events. We hope you will consider donating to Feminist.com to help us grow and leverage our work. If you would like to learn more about our plans, feel free to contact us.
Feminist.com 2.0 will be of our community, by our community, and for our community. To get there, we need your help. We want to co-create the future of Feminist.com with you, and we know we are more powerful when we organize together.
Please consider making a donation to help us realize this bold and timely vision for our work. All amounts small and large are meaningful to us right now.
Feminist.com is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so your donations are fully tax-deductible.
