Rigoberta
Menchú Tum was awarded
the 1992 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of
her work for social justice and the ethno-cultural
reconciliation of peoples in her native Guatemala.
At 33, she became the youngest person and the
first indigenous person ever to receive the
prize. Menchú went on to serve as the
official spokesperson for the United Nations
International Decade of Indigenous Peoples
from 1994 to 2003, and established the Rigoberta
Menchú Tum Foundation, which promotes
the rights of indigenous people around the

you touch the power, you are different. You
are very, very different.

a walk and talk off your shoes, sit by the
river and listen it. And then the anger will
go away.
Energy
renews when one has spiritual health.
When
we have suffered too much we need to find a
way of healing.
It’s
a very good thing to have in your house a sacred
space where you can accumulate your energy.
My
mother always said to me if you are fine within
yourself you can help other people.
